Xbox(beta) can't recognize games on hard drive

So I recently reset my computer because I was having latency issues that I was unable to fix. Now I store a large amount of my games on a 2TB hard drive while I have my OS on a SSD. My hard drive wasn't wiped so all the games kept on it are still present.
However when I start up the xbox(beta) app it doesn't detect these games. I went ahead and tried to change the default app install to be my hard drive hoping this would let it recongize the games installed but, it asks to delete apps from another device. I
assume this is because of the system reset. First of all I would prefer not to have to delete in reinstall everything. Is there a way around this? Secondly when I go ahead and till it to delete the apps it just pops with an error code 0x08007005 and then ask
me to try again later. Solutions? If I just need to delete all my windows apps on the drive I can but I would rather not have to, thanks.

Trying to change the settings for the default download area are what causes the error code to pop up. I did the things on the wiki and no luck. Should I just go ahead and call support for the xbox(beta) app? Can they even do anything to help?

Hi there. So remember when you are going to download a game from the xbox app it lets you chose the hard drive that you want to install games? Maybe this is a fix > go to the settings on the xbox app then search for option that let you chose the default
installation path and chose the one where games are installed. About the 0x08007005 error maybe this

My external hard drive has been having issues since the new dashboard update. Now I have to turn on the Xbox two to three times to get it to recognize it. Also, yesterday, it wouldn't let me download a game to the external hard drive. I was able to download
it to the internal hard drive but only when the external wasn't recognized. For some strange reason, now when the external hard drive is working, I can't reset the console, I have to turn it completely off. Pressing the reboot option causes the Xbox to sit
with a black screen and never reboots.

I got an external hard drive for my Xbox One and installed everything on it, yesterday i turned off the Xbox while i was on a game and now my Xbox doesn't recognize the hard drive but when i connected it to my PC it is recognized.

In my case, the drive is recognized by PS4 just fine. But Xbox does not recognize ANY storage device - several hard drives or USB flash drive.
