Xbox beta app on PC shows no devices/locations to install games

Trying to install gears 5 via PC xbox beta app.

When it get to the final page with the install button on it, the button is grayed out.

Drive space required says "unknown"

no drives are visible at all and i cant change anything.

on the xbox beta app settings, under drive selection, there are no drives listed and i cant change anything there either.

On my microsoft account, all my devices and associated drives appear as normal.

i have reinstalled the xbox app, reinstalled gaming services

i did everything on here and it didn't help

if i try to install gears 4, it starts installing immediately without the same issue.

Sorry to hear it. Please try opening up the Store App on your PC and try downloading the game from there.

In the store, if i click install, nothing happens, if i click install on my devices, it cant find any locations to install, and offers some "find out more" info, all of which I've read and tried at least 5-10 times already.

On the microsoft.com account/devices tab, the PC is listed and shows "no problems" also all the drives are visible, of the 3 drives, 276GB is the least free space available on a drive.

i have previously used powershell commands to remove the store app and then reinstall it to try to fix this, i have also done the same for the xbox beta app and finally, I have also retried installing after every update, my PC is updated to the latest build
yet nothing has worked so far.

I suppose my post was confusing. I know where the Installer is downloaded to. It shows up in the Downloads folder for me. But when I open that installer, it will install the Xbox Beta App onto my computer. Where is the Xbox Beta App located on my computer?

In order to install this game or any game from the Microsoft Store App, you will need to ensure your Windows 10 device is on a 1903 OS build or greater (Current 1909). The easiest way to ensure your PC is ready to go for this game and any other game
that comes to Game Pass for PC is to install the Xbox (Beta) App with the steps posted here. This will force the PC to install
an OS version that can run all Game Pass for PC games and allow users to easily find them inside the Xbox (Beta) App.

Let us know if you have the most recent OS build for Windows and the Xbox (Beta) App and try installing the game from the app as well.

game pass ultimate account is signed into the
Microsoft store app, You might want to try installing the
xbox(beta) app on windows as well and try downloading from there.

Not all of the game pass games between Xbox and PC are the same, the xbox(beta) app will show you all the available and installed windows game pass games
