Xbox Beta App Mic problems

I recently downloaded the Xbox beta app for my PC, so I can be in voice comms with my brother and his friends. Every time I join said voice comms I'm greeted with an error, and a message saying that I need to go into my privacy settings to use my microphone.
The thing is, I've gone into the privacy setting several times now on Xbox.com and I can't find anything that would be messing with my microphone. I've checked the voice comm settings through windows + G keys to see if there was any privacy settings but it's
no where to be seen. I also checked my actual windows settings, but nothing has changed, or is causing an issue whatsoever.

At this point I'm pretty frustrated, if anyone can think of another place I can check, or if you know what the issue is that would be just as great.

The error number is 0x8923102B.

Try using the Xbox Console Companion App instead. You can use it in Windows and on your phone. It works great on your phone as a hands free party chat.

Same problem here. I've tried my Logitech wireless headset as well as a USB headset. Both work fine in Windows apps, but no mic on Xbox Streaming for game chat, voice messages, or parties. It does seem to work in the Xbox app Parties though.

I have the beta app v11.11.3013.

hey how did you use your mic in xbox app party chat in the first place? i launched "start a party (beta)" and it shows my mic, but i can't talk or hear anyone in the party chat. and my mic is the default recording device

A patch was released for the xbox app, and that has fixed this issue for me. Used my PC mic while streaming earlier today without issue, so this seems to have been fixed, finally.

Same. Not sure if it matters but I'm using the Xbox beta app, mic worked with headset plugged into the controller while streaming.
