Xbox (Beta) app is crashing on launch

Since 23/10 the Xbox (Beta) app does one of three things every time I try to open it:

Opens a completely black window which does not respond to input

Displays the green XBox splash screen but never progresses

Crashes

If I try to install any XBox Game Pass games via the Microsoft Store app, that app also crashes.

I was informed by someone I spoke to on the 'Talk to an Xbox Gamer' support option that this was an issue they'd seen with multiple other users since a recent update, but I can't see any mention of it on Microsoft Support and not really sure how to progress
it - they told me uninstalling and reinstalling the Xbox and MS Store apps does not fix it, and there's no workaround.

Happy to provide whatever information is needed to investigate why it's happening but I can't see how to raise a support ticket about it, any help would be much appreciated as I really want to be playing Outer Worlds this weekend!

I can't even make it to the friends list...

My Xbox app, Xbox beta, and Smart Glass apps are crashing immediately upon launch, I see the green loading screen for a fraction of a second then crash. Very frustrating.

Sorry to hear you are having this issue. It would be a great help if you could reproduce this again using the Xbox app beta then re-launch the beta app after the crash and select the "Feedback-->Report a problem" option. This may help us better understand
what is causing the crash. Thank you!

Does the Xbox App crash or does the game crash?

If it's the Xbox (Beta) App, I'd say go to settings > Apps then find the Xbox (Beta) app and click "Advanced Options". From there, click the "Reset" button for the app. Restart the computer and see if that helps.

You could also try launching the games directly from the start menu without the Xbox App and see if that helps your ability to launch the game?

If it's the game that's crashing, then I'd say try doing the reset with the games that are causing issues, but for that we might need some more information, such as the specs of your PC? CPU, GPU, Memory, etc. can help us identify some other areas we might
need to investigate for troubleshooting.

Im not sure if this will work or not but try making sure your PC is up to date and check the requirements of using the xbox app
