Xbox (Beta) app error - 0x00000001

When trying to download any game off of the pc games pass I get that error on the Xbox app and games don't install from the microsoft store either. I've tried powershell, tried resetting both apps, run windows store apps trouble shooters... even checked
sfc. I cannot solve this issue.

I tried uninstalling the app which then broke the installer too...even after uninstalling the installer it wouldn't work either so that was fun to fix.

I don't understand how this has arose, the first time I used the app everything was perfect, untill I went to download my second game (download did start though, the game did have a shortcut too) the app completely froze. Covered my screen in black and had
to restart my pc, the app then wouldn't start so there came my first problem.

My windows 10 is up to date. Troubleshooting found no problems, neither did I find any corrupt files. Does anyone know how to fix this?

everything here is installed on my C:/ drive. I never tried to install on another drive. 1 day everything was ok and the next day nothing only error 0x00000001. I still think it was because of the last windows and xbox update.

I'm glad it's working for you

I tried the uninstalling xbox app, gameservices, microsoft store many time, used all the powershell commands you can think off

but no luck.

For the people like me with the same problem: The last respons from microsoft i got was :"Do not worry, we will find a solution on this problem as soon as possible. Regards!"

Seems like they are working on it and we will get a solution eventually. I hope

I did it once too then it worked second time round. I haven't got any other ideas though sorry, I saw a thread where someone said they installed windows onto a different drive which got it to work but I doubt its worth doing that, it wasn't for me.

Same Issue here.

I am using using Windows 10 (Version 2004) on a Razer Blade 15 Laptop i7-8750H with 16GB ram & GTX1060 MaxQ.
