Xbox (Beta) App Error 0% When Downloading Games. Error Code 0x80073cf3

Hi, I've tried everything. But nothing fixes this.

When installing games that have "Administrator approval required for installation", they all just stop installing at 0% and fail. There's no "open as administrator" option when I right click on the Xbox App in the Start Menu so I don't see how I'm supposed to give it admin access.

Anyway in the Xbox app I always get Error 0x80073CF3, it says Error 0%, I can't install Dragon Quest XI S or Dragon Quest Builders 2 which both have Administrator approval required for installation on them. I've tried clearing a lot of caches, restarting, updating, repairing, diagnostics, etc. I've tried switching Microsoft accounts. Nothing has worked.

The last thing I can think of is that I have my VPN on but I doubt that has anything to do with this from the research I've done.

Please, please someone help. This has taken days and hours already.

Never mind my other replies this worked!!!!!! Thank you so much, I've spent three days and eight hours by myself and with Microsoft staff, just stubbornly trying to solve it, and by running them both as administrator it worked!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. How did no one know to tell me this solution beforehand? Bless your soul

Hi, first of all you definitely helped, as now I can actually download a bit, but then it gets immediately stuck at Downloading 0%, 0B/S after I've downloaded around 8 MB or 9 MB or so. Do you have any idea why this is? Thanks.

Finally, I called the Microsoft hotline. The very competent agent did almost everything which was described in the Microsoft article concerning problems with "Administrator privileges for game installs in Xbox PC app". (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...5-8a7e-2a4a37d6d787?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US). Plus, before reinstalling the MS Gaming services with Powershell commands he deleted two entries for MS Gaming services from the registry. Unfortunately, it was too fast for me to record. Anyway, MS Gaming Services reinstalled properly, and afterwards the system worked again. To summarize, check in Microsoft store whether there's an unsuccessful update for Gaming Services. If so, solve this problem and you're good to go.

In my case there was no XboxApp.exe, just the other two. I changed both to "run as admin" but the problem stays. When trying to open the file location of "Xbox" on process tab I'm routed to Program Files\WindowsApps which I cannot open without fiddling with the security tab which I don't dare. :-(

It should be the same as one of the 2 files you already changed. Not sure why it worked for both of us (OP and I) but others it's not. I did notice there was an Xbox App update in the Microsoft Store. Maybe something else needs fixed now
