  1. Xbox Beta app - cannot find the specified file

    HELP!!

    Until yesterday everything was working fine on my XBOX Beta App. When I loaded it yesterday morning I was told an update was needed so I let that happen. Then I wanted to Install Torment Tides of Numenera and at first I just got a blank grey square that
    looked like it was trying to sign me in under my gamertag.

    I decided to try a clean install of the App, then got a message saying I didn't have permission to install the game, so I rechecked and submitted all my privacy settings. The game ran fine, but later on when trying another game I kept getting an the `specified
    file` error and could not sign into XBOX live.

    Now I cannot play any of the games in my Library, apart from the Dark Crystal which somehow does not seem to need any sign in.

    I have tried all the steps I can find from google, including restarting all the authentication services, checking that my Microsoft account and XBOX account are linked, checking the date and time settings and more.

    Please help Xbox Beta app - cannot find the specified file :)

    :)

    Cannot Sign In to Xbox App (The system cannot find the file specified)

    Hi. My name is Brilliant, an independent advisor, happy to assist today.

    Seeing that you have tried multiple troubleshoots without any solution, I advise you consider resetting your Windows. Resetting your PC lets you perform a clean reinstallation and update of Windows while keeping your personal data and most Windows settings intact. In some cases, a clean installation may improve your device's performance, security, browsing experience, and battery life.

    For more details on how to give your PC a fresh start, kindly visit: https://support.microsoft.com/windo... reset your PC, go,this PC , select Reset PC.

    However, I'll still share the basic troubleshooting tips in case you can find something that you may have not yet tried.
    - Restart your device.
    - Update Windows.
    - Update your device drivers.
    - Update the Xbox and Gaming Services apps.
    - Sign into the Xbox app and Store using the same account.
    - Remove and reinstall Gaming Services.
    - Make sure your date and time is correct.
    - Disable your antivirus.
    - Use the app troubleshooter.
    - Repair and reset the Xbox app.

    For more details on the above and more troubleshooting tips, kindly visit: https://support.xbox.com/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/troubleshoot-games-windows-10

    I hope this helps resolve your query.

    Xbox app windows 10 - unable to sign in "the system cannot find the file specified"

    Hello dear Gamer, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

    My name is Vinicius.

    I am a gamer and independent advisor on the XBOX community platform.

    Hey MrPig98, how are you today? Hope you're well.

    So, let's try this, first, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

    Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    Click Check for Updates;

    Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

    Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

    ______________________________________________________________

    Then try this:

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

    Then do the same for the Xbox app:

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

    ______________________________________________________________

    Then, try to uninstall and install the Xbox app. :)

    ______________________________________________________________

    If it still doesn't work you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command, then you're going to open the gamepass app, it will ask you to download and install the game services again :

    In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

    ______________________________________________________________

    If neither of those procedures works, try to restore your PC's OS via the ISO image tool, using that tool you will be able to maintain your installed games and files.
