    xbox basics help


    Hi all,

    Total xbox rookie here and trying to learn basics about our xbox series X. My goal is to have my kids play multiplayer games with two controllers and one console - but I'm having a hard time doing that and wonder if I'm doing something wrong. To get any
    multiplayer/split screen action, we've ended up with two microsoft accounts each signed in to one controller - is this necessary? Can't I just use one console with two controllers? Also, some games we are asked to invite players and I can't tell if that
    means inviting the controller assigned to the other account or whether that means an online person (which we don't want)?

    For instance, I want to play Halo with two people on one campaign, but can't figure out how to do that. We can go to custom slayer game where we kill each other but are we allowed to have two people in one household play together - or does multiplayer mean
    two people on two different consoles? Any advice? Thanks!

    Hey there MahtHockeyDude and Tjabbo,

    To clarify, do you own the disc copy or is it a digital download? If it's digital are you currently signed into the profile which redeemed the code? What error message are you seeing exactly?

    Xbox One is basically unplayable, seriously need help

    Try power cycling the console. Press and hold the power button on the console for 5-10 seconds until the console turns off. Then unplug the power cord from the console for 30 seconds. After 30 plug it back in and power it up with the console power button.
    After the system comes back see how it performs then.

    Xbox One is basically unplayable, seriously need help

    If the above doesn't work, as much of a pain as it might be, try doing the Restore to Factory Settings option. If not than you might have to call support. =/ Good luck!
