    My account has a communication ban for 100 days, when logging into a different account (My boyfriend's account) even though no bans are active it will not let him message or join a party. Honestly, Microsoft need to get their s**t together and sort out their
    enforcement policy as I am not able to enquire about any bans because the incorrect web page appears after agreeing to the terms, I also find it ridiculous that we pay for Gold to play multiplayer games but can be actively banned from multiplayer for weeks
    after BUYING the rights to play online. Bans are one sided as they do not give the reported player chance to "defend themselves" or prove the opposing player guilty, and most of the time a ban is indeed caused by the player who is actually harassing you.

    It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

    Microsoft have the right to suspend your account at any time if you are caught violating the ToU/CoC which is something you agreed to when starting your account.

    Doesn't matter if you have a gold subscription of not.

    Using another account to avoid a suspension on your main account is also a violation of the code of conduct so it sounds like you have been issued a temporary console privilege suspension to prevent you from doing that.

    Console suspensions can not be appealed.

    Trying to add a banned account to an Xbox is not possible. Nor is trying to add an account to a banned Xbox console (ie hardware ban)

    There is a chance that the Xbox is a banned one.

    An Xbox Live device ban is permanent for Xbox consoles and devices. Even if the ownership changes, the device ban is still there and can’t be lifted. If you purchase an Xbox console or device that’s been banned, you won’t be able to connect to Xbox
    Live.

    If you’ve bought a second-hand Xbox console or device and you can’t sign in or connect to Xbox Live, it might be banned and you’ll need to contact the previous owner or user.
