Xbox ban

I was recently playing MW3 for the first time in a while and decided to play a 3 v 3 with some friends. The first game we entered we were immediately steamed rolled by the opposing team, but we could hear them in game chat calling us inappropriate names,
harrassing, abusing, and berating us. The entire game I never responded until the match was over and I messaged one of the players in an attempt to retaliate. The message I sent the player was mild and tame as opposed to the insults they threw at us. 10 minutes
later and I’m banned for a few days, during which I’d like to enjoy playing xbox with my friends before I go off for Army training. These other players didn’t even get a slap on the wrist. Makes sense. I’m weighing my options on switching over to playstation
or pc master race because i’ve recently became disillusioned with microsoft.

It's not a permenant ban but those that have received a retail console early and connected it to the net have had it banned.

The thing is this.

1. Did you report these other players for there comments in game? If not then there is no way for the enforcement team to know that they were doing anything wrong.

2. It does not matter who starts a conversation if you retaliate in anyway that violates the code of conduct and are reported your actions are what the enforcement team looks at and if they violate the code of conduct then your account is subject to a suspension.

If you feel that you should not have been suspended then you can sign into the enforcement teams website enforcement.xbox.com and file for a case review if the suspension is eligible.

 

I did file a report. Nothing happened. I did create a case, nothing happened. My problem is Microsoft’s inability or unwillingness to act on the issue and just appease me by saying they will “investigate” the issue. How can you preach having a non-toxic
community, but suspend one party that wasn’t at fault and not the other. I’m not saying what I did was right and I accept that my retaliation was wrong, but at least have some consistency when banning people. I’ve already had numeros problems with Microsoft
in recent weeks that were never solved which is why I’m getting tired of them.

 

As long as you reported the other player and when the enforcement team does their investigation if there was a violation of the code of conduct then yes they will be punished per the code of conduct you will not get any sort of notification of what the results
of the investigation is against the other player. So you will not know if they got suspended or not.
