xbox back compat game not working

As denis97g has stated, back compat has been put on hold until the release of the new console next year. The team behind backward compatibility are currently working on getting the games that are working on the Xbox One (including back compat) to work
on the new console.

The Xbox backward Comatibility program has now been stopped. The team behind the back compat has been moved to the new console so back compat games will work on that when it is released. What you have now in the back compat catalogue will still work, but
no more games are being added.

Thanks for coming back to the forums. What Steeledwand was mentioning does not involve making a purchase for the game. We do not recommend purchasing this game if you have the Disc for it.

He is saying to have the Disc inserted in your console already and then search for it in the Store. In theory, the store would recognize you have the disc in and let you install the game from there.

Aside from that, a quick power cycle usually does the trick Just like Javier stated above.
