Xbox Avatars 2.0

Does anyone remember the NEW avatars that were supposed to come out a few months back? I find it just a bit wierd that they would be announced and around half a year later there is still nothing new other than small leaks. Still can't wait from them to come
out though lol.

Will Xbox One keep the kiddie avatars? Will Kinect 2.0 allow avatars to resemble the actual user?

I don't know what's going on with Xbox Avatars. I'm seeing small updates for Xbox Avatar Editor App. Xbox needs to explain this on their YouTube Channel. Xbox Avatars needs a massive update ASAP !

 

They actually FINALLY rolled the new Avatars out to Alpha Insiders and Skip-Ahead Insiders this past Tuesday, June 19th, 2018! They are still very much in a Beta Test form. But people have started posting videos on YouTube showing
off the new Avatars and some of the new possibilities. For instance, after many years of requests from myself and numerous other Xbox users, MS has FINALLY incorporated every color of the rainbow into our selection of Skin Colors, so my Avatar can FINALLY
have the blue skin he's needed, but been unable to have, since day one! ^_^

I heard about this but am not so sure how I feel about them. I wish they'd unlock more outfit options by default, I understand the idea behind having additional accessories and clothing for sale, but I would really like this new system a bit more if it
were...I guess I am trying to find a nice way of saying I wish it didn't remind me so much of the Mii's from the Nintendo world. Not that the Xbox avatars are bad, they're actually quite good, I just would like a bit more customization that comes out-of-the-box
so to speak.

 

They rolled out to the Xbox Insiders Alpha users, as for the rest of us that are Beta, Delta, Omega, or General Public, they have not been released yet.

 

The brand new avatars are currently available only for members of the Xbox Insider Program.

 

Same, I've been waiting for them ever since I saw them on YouTube. Hope we don't have to wait too much longer. I'm in the delta program

 

So, these FINALLY rolled out to ALL Xbox One owners yesterday with the October 2018 Update! But my console didn't start the Update automatically, I actually had to go into my settings menu and manually start it.

I've now created my new Avatar and it's so nice to FINALLY be able to give him the blue skin I've been requesting fro several years! ^_^

But there's not nearly enough styles for our new Avatars yet. And the Avatar Team STILL maintains this foolish notion that a person can't wear rings over top of gloves, even though superheroes and supervillains do it ALL THE TIME! So that's the first thing
that needs to be fixed: Let my Avatar wear gloves AND rings AT THE SAME TIME!

But since the styles he needs to look right are unavailable at present, I've reverted back to my original Avatar. We'll see what the November Update brings us in terms of new clothing styles.

 

I believe they are out for everyone now. If not, won't be long now. We alpha skip ahead preview people have had them for a bit, too find all the bugs before everyone gets them.

 

I was really hoping they would have more beard options than they did in the BETA but they don’t. I know it was a reauested feature during testing. The ones they have now are rediculous.

 

Yeah, on my original Avatar, the "full beard" actually can be colored to look more like a 5 O'clock Shadow/stubble. But so far, there's no such option with the new facial hair selection.

 

I’m looking forward to seeing them, but I’ll probably mess with it for an hour then forget about them.
