Xbox Avatar Purchase Message

Hi. I've been trying to purchase avatar gear for the past few months and I've been getting the exact same message everytime. "Your account is unable to make this purchase from Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox" yet I have been using
my Xbox everytime. I've even tried buying free gear and it keeps giving me the same message. Can someone help me out? I've tried buying headgear, shirts and props, all giving me the same message

Cant get avatar items on the xbox

Is there an error message when you attempt to purchase a certain avatar item? What does it exactly say?

You should be able to buy avatar items on both this website and the Xbox avatar store.

You need a valid method of payment linked to your account (like credit card or paypal) in order to purchase avatar items from xbox one (yes even to claim free items)

If you have an xbox 360 you can use the currency under your account

 

That's the problem. I had my parent's credit card (with their permission of course) and it still popped up with the same message. I even tried it with my Microsoft account, I had £25 on that and it didn't work

 

If you're on a child account, you'll have to make the purchase from a 360 console.
