    Xbox Avatar Editor Keeps Crashing


    For months now, any time I attempt to launch Xbox Avatar Editor in order to update my personal avatar or to create one for a friend/family member's account, the app crashes. Upon attempting to launch, it will pull up the app's loading screen for maybe
    7 seconds, and then crash and return to Xbox home. I have tried hard resetting my Xbox One and updating it and it's apps but nothing has fixed the issue and, nearly a year later, I am still unable to utilize Xbox Avatar Editor. I'm at my wit's end. Can anyone
    help me remedy this?

    Hi Ren,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. Sorry for the issue with the avatar app. We recommend to uninstall and reinstall the app. Go to my games and apps>apps>highlight the avatar editor app>hit the start(menu)button>go to uninstall. Then

    power cycle     the console. Once it is back on then install the app again.

    Try this and let us know.

    That app does have the 360 avatars. That would be the only way. Keep in mind there are 2 apps. One is just the Avatar Editor which does not have the 360 avatars. The Xbox Original Avatars app does have them.
