Xbox Avatar Content is Lacking

The lack of content for the avatar store is largely due to it being outright abandoned by developers due to the lack of demand. Back during the 360 days everyone had avatars because there wasn't many good profile pictures. It was sort of a "big flex" back
then having an awesome looking avatar. But nowadays most people use costume profile pictures, some of them funny, epic or scenic. There's more expression with the new profile pictures and people recognise that. It is a shame to see that lack of content being
consistently added to the avatar store but at the same time, devs aren't going to put in the work and effort if it's not going to reward them, that reward being shmoney.

Are you speaking about the new Avatar Editor or the old one with the 360 models?

Either way I totally agree if you're speaking toward the new editor in terms of its lack of content for the avatars. The 360 Avatar Marketplace was superior in that it really did have a big and diverse selection outfits and items to choose from. I think
the new one still needs more time, that's most likely why it receives so few new items...which is very unfortunate. Its not entirely dead, new items come every now and again. From what I can tell there's like one or two new things a month. I think there's
just a lack of Avatar support in general in terms of things you can do with the new avatars and people actually dedicated to created items to sell on the marketplace... if no one has a use for the avatars then why would anyone make new items? The Xbox 360
solved that with games and apps that featured avatars and even the really old Xbox 360 Interactive console dashboard themes.

Regardless, its lack of depth in the new one is despairing.

That's not adding the "game" to the Avatar, it's adding Avatar costumes or Avatar props from that game. You can buy content from the

Xbox Marketplace, then add it to you Avatar, or you can be awarded content from games you play.

19. Have more avatar integration.

20. Redo original, missing avatar content for next-gen (such as avatar background options) from the Xbox 360.

21. Bring back the avatar store from the Xbox 360 as part of the Avatars app.
