Xbox auto renewal refund / Terrible customer service

I have played Xbox in the past (maybe a year and half ago) but recently switch over to PC. I got a complaint from my dad this morning for a Xbox live renewal 12 month membership so we called Microsoft. They have said that the purchase was made on December
13, and my dad noticed his visa was charged. We asked for a refund but got none because of the 30-day refund trial. A real bummer because nobody in the house plays Xbox anymore and we got charged 59.99 plus tax. We asked the guy if he could do anything about
it, but he said he couldn't. As a side note, although we didn't get his name but he was a real jerk and probably gave the worst service I have ever received (lousy voice, told my dad off, etc.). Anyways, is there any possible way to get a percentage refund
back ? We feel so sad for paying an expensive membership we will never use.

P.S I hope no one will ever have that customer service guy, and I do hope he either changes or gets fired from that position. I always thought Microsoft had the friendliest service.

First please cancel the auto renew here:
https://account.microsoft.com/services/ "Stop automatic renewal" for xbox game pass.

Then go here
https://support.xbox.com/forms/request-refund to request a refund.

But surely a service, would not require "To call it's Customer Support" If you already wish to turn off Auto-Renewal by clearly selecting "Auto-Renewal Off"

When it comes to billing issues phone/chat support are your only option
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us as they are the only ones with access to your billing info.

You can try contacting them again.The chance of speaking to the same person are slim but if you had auto renewal on then I doubt you'll get a refund.

Totally agree with you mate. Their website sends you round in circles and always tells you there's an error in cancelling auto renewal. I ended up calling them and ripping into their foreign customer services guy who you can hardly hear or understand. They
try to fob you off to sort it out online until you loose your temper. These is absolutely terrible customer service Microsoft..........sort it out!!!!!

Log into the account you don't use at HTTPS://account.microsoft.com/services turn off auto renew and request a refund.
