    Xbox auto deleting captures

I've heard this a lot and experienced it a lot myself too.

First question, do they auto delete? If yes - Do they auto delete when uploaded to xbox live or when not uploaded?

If uploaded to xbox live and auto deleted, will I see them here xboxdvr.com?

If I get a view on it does it not auto delete? And for which one xbox live or on the xbox.

To give it a view, can I just watch it in the show all captures option in "recent captures" If yes - what counts as a view? Is hovering over it a view? Is speeding through it a view? Is watching the entire thing needed or only the beginning?

If any of these questions are confusing, please quote them and I will explain further, please help, I have already lost many captures.

    :)

    Game Captures Auto Delete

Hello, how are you? My name is Mateus. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

First I'm sorry you're having this problem.

Please try to carry out the solutions below.

    Solution 1:

You can also hard reset the Xbox console and its cache. Here is how to do so:

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

    Solution 2:

Go to your console settings, in the general tab enter the network and internet settings option, select the advanced settings option, and then click alternative mac address tap clean and restart your console.

    Solution 3:

As you know, there was actually a policy change in October last year regarding recording clips where they are deleted after 30 days, but as you said your clips are auto-deleting after 1 day, which is kind of weird. At this time you can try resetting your console to factory defaults, you may be doing this by following the instructions below.

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

*Select to keep your games and apps if you don't want them to be deleted.

    clipping on xbox one

Hey there! So, unfortanetely, these cannot be turned off, but they are deleted after 30 days! If for some reason they arent deleting after 30 days, plesse follow these steps!

settings > preferences > Broadcast & Capture > Automatically Upload > Captures by me

in there should be your fix to turn on auto delete after 30 days! :)

    Captures on external harddrive

Use a capture card like Avemedia.

The auto delete after a set time frame is also done in external drives to ensure storage doesn't get completely occupied and is under check.

    Xbox captures are completely broken?

On your console Home Guide menu select Capture & share > Recent captures >Show all >Manage captures

That will show you your captures you have uploaded to the Xbox network. You can change this to captures on this console to show those captures.

If you change the look on screen to small icons (press 4 squares) you will have other options as well as a delete choice.

Looking at this screen outlay, on console captures will inform you if they have been uploaded to the Xbox network or not.

Captures on the console that have been uploaded to the xbox network can be deleted from the console if you want. Be aware that there is a finite available space on the console for captures that fills up very quickly if you make a lot of clips and/or screenshots.

Uploaded Captures on the xbox network can also be deleted.

I use the sort option and delete captures regularly from both my console and Xbox network to keep my captures manageable.

    Xbox app clips.

After thought. Are your clips set to auto upload to xbox live? It will still show in recent captures.
