Xbox Audio through headphones not working

My xbox audio to my headphones cut out while i was in the middle of youtube. I have HyperX headphones they are nit the problem they work, i plugged them into my phone and they work fine. I tried different headphones, i.e. some earbuds. Nothing. I have
an adapter from an old pair of turtle beach headphones which i plugged into my controller then plugged my headphones into those and still nothing. I tried using another controller and nothing again, i lastly turned up the volume on my tv to see if it was the
xbox not having sound in general but the tv audio works fine

Unfortunately i dont believe that is what it is, i tried my other controller and it had the same problem

Hi there, it sounds like it could be a problem with your audio jack on your controller. I would advise to double-check that there is nothing that would block the jack from connecting all the way such as dust or pet dander. Sometimes stuff can make its
way in there and block the connection. Hope this helps!

Hi TAZ,

do you get game audio through headphones? If not, that might indicate that the Xbox has a Audio problem and I'd refer you to the support ( support.xbox.com )

If it works, this might be an issue with the audio system or TV setup for gaming.

they are the same as the standard xbox one s controllers, so with pc you can use via bluetooth(audio through headphone jack not supported)

or wired(supports audio via headphone jack)

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

It can be the console as well, kindly perform a reset on your console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.
