Xbox Audio Is Broken

It fits, but the Audio is not working. Sounds like a wrong codec. Digital Audio Fragments like a broken mp3. Aonds oft the xbox are fine, some Musik too. But no voices.

If you haven't already done so, go ahead and try performing a Soft console Factory reset on
your console by doing the following:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Console info & updates.
6. Select Reset console. [KEEP MY GAMES AND APPS]

Make sure you have both your email and password on hand as you will be asked to sign back in. There is an option to delete everything and to save your games and apps; choose the latter.

What hardware are you using to play audio? How is it connected?

Are you playing audio through your TV via HDMI? Or are you using a soundbar or AV Receiver? Are they connected via HDMI as well, or are you using the optical cable?

Or are you using a headset and getting sound through the 3.5mm jack of your controller? Or is it a wireless headset?

What audio settings are you using? Stereo, 5.1 surround, Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic?

Not to be rude but it did say that they were both wireless, but you are right too. I've got autism so i don't expect you to understand but there is no reason for it all the settings are exactly the same as the last 12 months my headset works fine
connected to my phone and worked find at lunch time. Fml

Sorry if you found my post rude, but the post where you mentioned "wireless" was a response that wasn't there when I originally wrote my post. So the only information I had was from your original post, which only states that it doesn't work and sounds static.

As for the settings not having changed, is it possible that another wireless device appeared in your neighborhood, that can cause active interference?

Maybe a wireless baby monitor, or a new WiFi? Also be aware, that customer-grade Wireless signals usually broadcast on the 2.4GHz frequency band, which can also be affected by nearby Microwave ovens.

So if you can hear short beeps from the menu, but not constantly streaming game sound, it might be a wireless interference issue.

Please check if the static noise is also present, when you run audio through your TV speakers or AV receiver connected via HDMI or optical TOSLINK.
