  1. Xbox Audio Input?

I have been struggling with this recently. I bought the Logitech Artimus G933 2 years ago hoping that some update would come out that I could use these headphones wireless with the xbox one console. In order for me to get any type of wireless chat function,
i have to buy a DIFFERENT set of headphones to use on my Xbox. I unfortunately cannot buy any newer sets. Here is my suggestion xbox: create a hub that uses the optical audio out of your console to allow gamers to use ANY headset wirelessly to party chat AND
game audio. The Astro A50 uses a base that confirms this works. Or anything like this idea via any port on the console. You would create an extra peripheral for customers to buy and solve a problem that many of the xbox games have, buying headsets with usb
dongles that dont work with your system.

    Thank you.

    V/R

    :)

360 hdmi to tv optical to soundbar producing no sound. Xbox one also hooked via hdmi works fine.

Hi, if you swap the hdmi connections over on the tv so the xbox 360 uses input 1 and the xbox one uses input 2 do you then get audio from the xbox 360 and not the xbox one ?

Some hdmi inputs only accept the video signal and not the audio which would explain why you only get audio from whichever device is connected to the hdmi port on the tv which accepts both video and audio.

No TV Audio from Xbox One Passthrough?

    seicam,

Sorry to be so slow to respond, but with the holidays and all, I hope you understand.

I believe that the only audio out from the Xbox One is over the optical link. Therefore, you have to connect the optical out of the Xbox to one of the optical inputs on your receiver and then select that audio input to get the Xbox and Live TV audio. For
the video, you may have to bypass the receiver altogether. Here is how my setup is configured (the Yamaha gets audio only from the Xbox One):

DirecTV receiver --> Xbox One --> TV

    Yamaha A/V receiver <---'

I never thought about taking the HDMI out from the Xbox and through the A/V receiver. This may work, but you will still have to associate the audio with the optical input from the Xbox. This is done through the menus on your Yamaha system. You need to
select the HDMI input for the Xbox and then there should be setup options for the audio to use. You then select the optical input that the Xbox is connected to as the default audio input for that particular HDMI input. If you're not sure how to do this,
Yamaha support can walk you through the process.

Is there an Audio Input button on the remote or monitor? You may need to select which audio input you want to use.
