    Xbox assumed HDMI connection cutting out on TV only when playing high res


    Skyrim plays at a pretty low res and refresh rate with no issues, the second I start playing something high res like Witcher or cyber punk or even 4K Netflix it starts cutting out losing HDMI connection and reconnecting.

    Hello UndeadToast1993, have you ever tried changing the HDMI cable on the TV or even changing the HDMI port on your TV.

    For example, if it is on HDMI 1, switch to HDMI 2 on the TV?

    Interesting. Xbox to AVR with factory supplied Xbox HDMI cable. AVR to TV with Harbor Freight HDMI cable, video blinks in and out. Xbox direct to TV with Harbor Freight HDMI cable, video is stable; assumed cable wasn't problem. Wife found another high
    speed HDMI cable tucked away, so for grins and giggles I went from Xbox back to AVR with factory Xbox HDMI cable, then from AVR to TV with cable my wife found. Video is now stable!! Apparently when going from AVR to TV, Harbor Freight HDMI cable is missing
    something that connection needs? I don't understand...

    Also, try to hook up your TV through your Xbox One, see if the audio cuts out there. That might help narrow the issue down. If the audio doesn't cut out it is another issue, perhaps HDD reading related when games can't read the HDD quick enough to play audio
    properly, if audio does still cut out but not when the TV is plugged into the TV directly then it could be HDMI port/cable related.

    Also, try plugging your Xbox One into a different HDMI slot on your TV if you have multiple and see if it is the TV port causing the cutting out.

    You really shouldn't run your Xbox One at 1080 if your TV is only 720p. You won't see any improvements and are just adding extra work onto the Xbox for no real benefit. If you switch TV to 1080p later then by all means change the console setting.

    Bluetooth would be to slow and meant for low bandwidth things like video and music not high res fps games

    Wi-Fi is better suited for that like remote play on the xbox app or cloud

    Of course the xbox still need to be connected to a tv to set this up

    As mentioned by sword all HDMI ports on pcs are out not input
