    I don’t know how you guys haven’t thought that a lot of Xbox players severely need an option to change aspect ratio to tv. It’s sad I love Xbox but you guys can’t fix that one problem . Not every tv works no it’s just the Xbox doesn’t wanna change for it that’s so annoying. And honestly maybe I don’t have the right but I’m sorry not everyone can just afford a new tv especially after getting a high priced console just for it to not work or look right. Anybody else? Or I’m I just being ungrateful?

    Xbox is designed for use with the standard 16:9 shape of all modern televisions

    Can you take a picture of your television so we can see what's going on?

    pixel aspect ratio. It explains why pixel aspect ratios other than 1:1 are used as well as how display aspect ratio, pixel aspect ratio, and storage aspect ratio relate to each other.



    The really, really short version is that 1024x768 16:9 displays scale the input to fit the available pixels for display.

    Hi, that is usually caused by something called overscan on the Tv, try looking for some overscan option in the Tv picture settings.

    If you're struggling please post the make and model of the Tv and I'll try to find more info, be aware that not all Tv's have this overscan option so you may be stuck with the cut off screen.

    You could try changing that to HDMI, it can sometimes help. If you lose the display totally then you would need to reset the display settings.

    Before going that route though, have you tried all the available HDMI port on the Tv ? If not then try a different port.
