Xbox April 2020 Update causing HDMI issues

My sons "Xbox One S" picked up the public April 2020 update yesterday afternoon.

Ever since that update installed, the HDMI connection from this Xbox to our TV display frequently blacks out, then returns after a few seconds.

The TV thinks it's temporarily losing the HDMI signal from the Xbox. It's doing this roughly every 10 to 60 seconds, random in timing. It does it on the Xbox home screen, on Netflix, and in all games. Note that this has been working perfectly for more
than two years before yesterday afternoons update with no other changes to any part of the system. No other new software has been added to this Xbox recently. Nothings been moved, nor bumped.

My testing so far includes:

Swapped out the HDMI cable for a known new working cable = not fixed.

Tested with the same HDMI cable on the same TV on the same HDMI input port that is being used for the Xbox with another HDMI source (tested with a Blu-Ray player and a laptop) at the same exact resolution (1080P) and frequency (60Hz) and color depth
(8-bit, standard YCC) = and it works fine on all other sources. = It's the Xbox having problems, not some other thing.

Tested the Xbox with a new cable on an alternate TV = not fixed (same exact symptoms!)

Reset the Xbox = not fixed.

Full shutdown from the Xbox menu, and cold started the Xbox after 10 minutes unplugged =
not fixed.

Checked for more updates: the unit reports it is completely up to date. =
not fixed.

I am looking for more ideas to try - or perhaps some knowledge that this is a known issue with this system update and will be fixed "soon."

Low tech solution - I figured if a programmer was creating an update he’d be using all Microsoft equipment. I did some digging and found what looks to be the HDMI cable that originally came with the X Box One. Tried it and all the screen problems went
away. I have no idea why Microsoft would use something unique for this since a lot of people might want a longer cable and theirs is somewhat short but since it seems to fix everything I’m not going to nitpick.

Mine didnt show anything at all I had to send it for repairs since it fried the display chip

Unfortunately it sounds like the port on the Xbox is going out. Is it still under warranty by chance ?

Sadly the warranty expired one year ago in Jan 2019 . . . thanks for the reply!

Exact same problem since the recent 2020 update. HDMI signal keeps dropping out for a couple of seconds every so often. Have changed the cable, changed the TV port, soft teset the console, changed the output settings. Nothing works. Definitely related
to the update, glad I'm not the only one having this problem. Been driving me insane... Microsoft needs to sort this out. Happening to too many people to be a coincidence.
