    Xbox Apps Freeze and Quit to Desktop


    Hi Team,

    I recently acquired the gamepass. I've downloaded two games so far from the game pass. I play 3-5 games on my PC that work without an issue but in respect to these two games, they keep crashing after ten minutes of gameplay. The games that crash are Hitman Trilogy and Forza Horizon 5. I've also registered a ticket with FH5 support team. This is what the event viewer shows me upon the crashes. Please assist.

    The things I've tried so far are DDU clean reinstall, SFC and DISM cmds, Disabling windows defender firewall, Disabling antivirus protection, Disabling optimization enhancing applications, ensuring my GPU/CPU isn't overclocked, lowering graphics setting for the relevant games, Enabling/Disabling Game Mode,

    Would you please use the System File Checker and DISM to repair broken, corrupted or missing system files?

    Go to Start > Search for Command Prompt > Right Click > Run as Administrator. Run one command at a time:

    chkdsk /r

    chkdsk /f

    sfc /scannow

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    Chkdsk may ask you to restart your computer in order to be able to run. If that's the case, please restart your computer when you can and it will run before Windows starts.

    See if the issue persists and please let me know.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    If your Xbox profile is linked to your EA account we just need to refresh it. Please sign out on your EA Desktop App, from there sign out and then quit the EA Desktop app before signing back in.

    Directly search the game on the EA Desktop to install.

    Thanks for the reply. None of the suggested made any difference for the better, in fact its now actually worse since reinstalling. Game sound again is fine and so is the input, it's just the video streaming is around 5 minutes behind input and sound, yes I start here and timed the moment of input and game sound signalling in game movement and when the video actually showed the movement. And suggesting I restore the os to try and fix a fault with a update on a app is clutching at straws.
