  1. Xbox application on PC can't install Gaming Services.

Hi! Xbox application on PC can't install Gaming Services.

On the main page of the Xbox app it says that I need to download it and when I click on it, it starts to say that it will take a couple of minutes and stay for hours like this. If I go to Xbox app -> Account name -> Settings -> General I have a window called "Dependencies" and it reports that Gaming Services is missing, additionally, it says Gamins Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval is required.

I have tried to pin the Xbox app to the taskbar and open an application by holding down the shift and ctrl keys and left/right click - didn't work.

I also tried to install it by PowerShell command - unfortunately no luck there as well.

I have reinstalled the Xbox app and MS Store - with no luck there too.

I have Windows 11. Any advice will be appreciated.

    An update:

I have tried to remove Gamins Services by PowerShell (get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers) command and install it back by this command: start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    That's what I'm getting:

Xbox application on PC can't install Gaming Services.

    Hello!

I'm a Independent Advisor. I will be glad to help you.

Open the Registry Editor, locate these paths and delete them

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet

Restart the PC, Try to install the application again by starting the Xbox app, you will get a message saying that it needs to be installed.

I hope the information has been clear, I will be attentive to any questions you may have.

    Best Regards.

Gaming Services will not download no matter what I do. How do I fix this?

From what I see, based on the description of the problem you've been presenting, it sounds like you need help on how to install gaming services on your PC.

I'm glad you took the time to consider this for us so we can help resolve it for you.

First of all, let me ask you the following questions below so that you fully understand the problem.

    1. Does this work well before?

    2. Can you provide a screenshot showing the error when trying to install gaming services on Xbox?

    - How can I download the Xbox Gaming Services app?
You will end up installing two drivers along with the application on your PC, the first one is Gaming Filter (Microsoft Gaming Install Filter Driver) and the other is XVD Disk Driver (Microsoft Gaming Filesystem Driver).

What permissions does the Xbox Gaming Services app require?
The app's description indicates that it requires a couple of user permissions. Requires access to your Internet connection and all your peripheral devices, files, programs and applications.

In addition, it also requires permission to directly manage other applications, collect information about other applications, install a service on the machine, and control system policies related to already installed applications.

Some clues have led gamers to think that Microsoft is working hard to bring gaming to Windows.

Therefore, it is evident that your Windows 10 or 11 PCs will soon receive Xbox features. In the future, we can expect the gap between the PC and Xbox platform to narrow.

We hope that you have managed to get all the information you needed about the Xbox Gaming Services application and that you have also downloaded it on your PC.

It looks like you don't have any applicable devices linked to your Microsoft account. To install, sign in on a device with your Microsoft account.

    Hi,

You need the Game Pass application installed on your PC to download Gears 5 with the subscription, it can't be installed from the Windows Store.

    Microsoft Store"Gaming Service"and another PC GAME cannot install,error code︰0x803FB005

    Hi,

    I have the same error.

My pc started acting up this morning so I reinstalled Windows 10 64 Pro from scratch and patched it to newest security patchlevel.

Afterwards I could not install the xbox game pass pc application. It fails everytime with the same error 0x803FB005

I managed to get the application installed using a different link for "offline" installation. Cant remember where I found the link. When starting Xbox (beta) application a message say that an important component is missing (being gaming-services) and it
    will try to install it.

In the store download queue the download fails with the code 0x803FB005

I have tried the powershell commands as suggested in this thread:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-not-run/339d262f-00d6-4a97-aebc-4273e7ea1b9b

    But the problem persists.

    Help would be greatly appreciated.

    /Michael

Cannot Download Xbox Gaming Services or any games on the Xbox App

So going to run down the list for the link you sent:

    1. Restart your device - doesn't work
    2. Uninstall and re-install the game - not applicable, I can't install any game
    3. Error Message - Error code 0x80073D26 doesn't appear on microsoft or xbox forums
    4. Check status of Game Pass - Plan is still in effect; also i'm able to download games on other PC's it is only this one
    5. EA account link question - not applicable
    6. EA account link question - not applicable
    7. EA account link question - not applicable
    8. EA account link question - not applicable
    9. Do I have admin privilege - going to make a local admin account and try but my main account should have privileges to install gaming services as it is the only user on this PC
    10. Did device restart during game installation - not applicable, I can't install games
    11. Installation problems due to available storage - 300GB's of free storage
    12. Still having problems? Uninstall gaming services via powershell and install via microsoft store - doesn't work gives above error code
I appreciate the attempt to help but I'm going to probably need something a little more power user related to solve this problem. I'm going to try the local admin account and see if that helps and report back; wish me luck!

Also just to note I HAVE ALREADY RESET THE PC 3 TIMES; PLEASE DON'T RECOMMEND THIS TO ME, THANK YOU!

EDIT: Local Admin Account can't do anything because I'd have to log in with a microsoft account to download the microsoft store so thats a dead end...HELP!
