Xbox App won't update on Windows 10

Whenever I try to open the Xbox app on Windows 10, it crashes within one second of opening it. I then went into the Store, to see if it needed an update, and sure enough, it did. So I tried to update it, but then the update failed and gave me the error code
0x80073B0F. I have no idea what is happening, I have restarted the computer, canceled the update and tried to manually start the update, but the same exact thing happened every time. Please help! Thanks, awessumpossum13

    :)

  3. Xbox one streaming on Windows 10 not working when trying to play multiplayer

Let's manually update the controllers on your Windows 10 PC through the Xbox Accessories app. To proceed, kindly download the "Xbox Accessories" app from the
Windows Store. This is a separate app from the Xbox app. The app will enable you to update your controller. Refer to How
to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows 10
    for the steps.

Keep us posted with the results.

    Hey there,

I am going to run through some troubleshooting methods for you to try and resolve this problem. First, can you try using the Windows Store App troubleshooter for me, to see if this brings up anything in regards to what could be wrong.

To run the Windows App troubleshooter, please follow these instructions:

    1. Press the Windows Key and X key together (This will bring a pop up menu above the start option)
    2. Select Control Panel
    3. Select Views, and Large Icons
    4. Select Troubleshooting
    5. Select Hardware and sound
    6. Select Windows Store Apps
    7. Then follow the on screen instructions to Troubleshoot the Windows store apps.
If that method does not work, please could you do an sfc/scannow. This is going to search for any files that are corrupt, and attempt to restore those files. To run the sfc/scannow, please follow these instructions:

    1. Press the Windows key and Q key together
    2. In the box, type "cmd"
    3. This will open the system control prompt, when you do, type "sfc /scannow"
    4. The system will start to scan your computer/device. Please be aware that this will take a while to scan. So you may want to sit back and relax, have a coffee and play on Xbox for a bit. One game of Call of Duty should fill the time. Or around about 3 to
      4 minutes.
If that method does not work, then I have one more for you to try Xbox App won't update on Windows 10 :) I am going to ask you to reset the Windows Store cache on your device. To do this, please follow these instructions:

    1. Press the Windows Key and R
    2. Type "WSReset.exe" and press enter
    3. After this has finished, and the store's cache has been cleared. You could uninstall the app again, and restart your computer/device
    4. When you have booted up your device again, you can try to install the app again, which should install to the latest build that is out on the market today.
Please post back your results from any of the methods I have posted above. In some of the methods, I have taken from some posts in the Microsoft community forums, so I know they may be a little advanced for some users.

    Regards,

    Hi there Tobi,

Thanks for reaching out! In reference to your question, Xbox app and games are updated periodically. The Xbox app will automatically update itself through the Microsoft Store app on Windows 10, but there are occasions when a game or an app may fail to update.
In such cases, you’ll have to manually update your games and apps to get to the latest version on the PC you are using.

    Check out this article :
Verify that you have the latest version of the Xbox app on Windows 10

    Hope this helps.
