Xbox App Won't Start

Hi,

This issue only started in the past few days, Whenever i try to start the app, it loads the green screen and hangs for a second or two and then closes itself.

I've tried the following;

restarting the computer

stopping and starting the xbox services

restarting the modem

deleting the accounts and cache folders as suggested in the sticky

Tried checking for updates in the store but none found

I still receive xbox notifications though (i.e. favourite signing in and achievement unlocks) and i'm not sure what else to try.

Xbox 1 wireless display app won't run

hi! My wireless display app won't start. Screen fades to white then just goes to homepage one my Xbox one. I've tried deleting and redownloading but it won't even start.

Hey xMoBBzY,

We've received a few other reports of this issue and are investigating. Are you using the standard version of the Xbox App, or the Beta version of the Xbox App? If you're not using the Beta version, you could try downloading it and see if it resolves this
issue.

I'm using the standard app, i've seen the beta app but have not used it. I'll try that and let you know!

I tried solution one but that wasn't successful.

I did, however, do the windows repair (solution 2) and that worked. The app worked immediately after repair.

Thanks, I'll try running sfc and see if anything comes up.

In ref to the sub, I meant Game Pass. I'm effectively paying for something I can't get access to via the app. That was all.

Try to perform a clean boot in Windows, for that follow the instructions offered by Microsoft in the link below.

Download the Create Windows 10 installation media application from the link below, at the end of the download run the application, and then follow the instructions given by the program at the end click on upgrade. Rest assured none of your files will be lost, this is a system restore that will try to fix this error.

Try this and see if it helps any. Go into settings, power options and switch from instant on to power save mode.

After you switch to power save mode shut it down then start it up. Your cache is full, instant on wont clear it. If you cant access the powe setting to switch hold power on the console 8 sec to hard reset it.
