Xbox app won't show notifications for new messages

    Xbox app won't show notifications for new messages


    I've had the Xbox app for a long time now and recently (maybe after the update where it changed its name from Smartglass to Xbox app) my notifications for new messages will not show up. I've gone to the "Settings" app (the notifications are already on) and inside the
    app and made sure the option that says to notify me for messages was checked a million times but when I get out of the settings and go back it's unchecked again. I dont know what is wrong with it. Can someone please fix it or let me know what's wrong?

    no Xbox app party notifications on windows 10

    Windows 10 will show all Xbox app notifications (messages) but not party notifications, I have tried everything from reinstalling the app with powershell to reset windows store, on Command prompt, any suggestions?

    XBox One and Win 10 XBox App show 2 new messages, but no new messages exist.

    Both the Xbox app in Windows 10 and my Xbox One show a notification of 2 new messages, but there are no messages there. I've also checked to make sure I do not have any old XBox 360 messages that could be showing up as notifications. My profile at XBox.com
    shows no new messages, and no new friend requests. I've tried logging out of and back into the XBox app, as well as removing my profile from and re-adding it to my XBox One. Neither of those solved the issue.

    the Xbox app on PC can be a bit weird.

    some days mine doesn't show messages or notifications.

    some days I'll get a notification and it's for a message I replied to on Xbox the day before.
