Xbox App Won't Install Certain Titles

So I have this brand new PC I just bought today and ran through the general first-use diagnostics, updated all drivers, restarted several times, and then i started signing into all my apps once I was 'fairly' sure it was working properly. Everything from Steam to various game launchers has downloaded and performed fine except the Xbox App. I've tested this, and some games download just fine.

Others come up with error code 0x80073cf3.

I've downloaded Sea of Thieves just fine and started/cancelled a few other downloads I wasn't actually interested in but wanted to see if they would work.

The titles that aren't working are so far Control and Evil Within 2.

From what I'm gathering on other, older posts, it appears to be some sort of data package conflict. I've reinstalled and reset caches on both the Xbox App and the Microsoft Store, used Powershell commands to clear the OS cache, verified my architecture, defragged, restarted, signed out and in--none of this is working. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there poodiggity welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had this issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

Thanks for the tip. I was hesitant to try this just because I'd downloaded a couple hundred gigs worth of games already and wasn't looking forward to doing it again, but after yet another Microsoft Store cache clear and a reinstall of the Xbox app, it's working great! Sucks that it was this level of finnicky but we got there. Appreciate the help.

Unfortunately you can not install xbox originals to the hard drive for an Xbox 360.

You can download certain original xbox titles from the marketplace but they of course will cost you Microsoft points.
