Xbox app wont connect to xbox one to stream

Ever since the streaming came out ive used it so my family could watch tv while I play my games. But about a month and a half ago it started to lag a lot. Then last month it completely stopped working. It still finds our xbox on the xbox app but it wont
let me connect to it. it asks to check if the IP address is correct and or if they are on the same wifi connection. Ive reset my router, done a full reboot on the xbox and on the pc. And I know for a fact that its on the same wifi connection so if anybody
knows what is then please tell me so that I can continue to do this.

Cannot stream on Windows 10, but the Xbox is connected!

Hello,

So my Xbox One and Xbox One App on Windows 10 are both up to date. I can connect to Xbox One and even control the Xbox One from my PC. However, I CANNOT stream!! When I click on Stream I get a message that either Xbox One or Xbox One App are not up to date
and it cannot stream, however both are up to date.

My Xbox on Windows version is 8.8.15003.00000

Xbox One version is 10.0.10586.1016 (th2_xbox_rel_1510.151118-2147)fre

Hi,

The exact same thing has happened to me. I've been on with Xbox Support - Went over the Port Settings - Opened up the UDP/TCP ports - Still nothing. The funny thing is, Smartglass on my iPhone works - but I can't get Smartglass or Xbox App to connect on
my Windows 10 device. Very strange indeed. Does anyone have a solution?

On the xbox go to: Settings>Power&startup then just click on "restart now"

after I did this i've been able to stream again, it was so simple, we were obviously thinking too much of it

Hello there,

The code was simply to connect your console to the Xbox app for game streaming and general use. You wont be missing out on much if you don't plan on using the Xbox app at all. You can still do this manually if you choose to do so. This link will have everything

1. On Xbox One, select Settings and Preferences;

2. Access Xbox App Connectivity;

3. Check the Allow connections from any device boxes

or Allowed only for profiles connected to this Xbox;

4. On your computer, open the Xbox app;

5. On the left side, select Connection;

6. The app will search for consoles connected on the same network. Select your Xbox One;

7. Click Stream to start streaming.

8. Navigation will be done with a control already configured on the PC;

9. To change the streaming resolution, enter Settings, Xbox One and Streaming Quality;

10. Choose the one best suited to the speed of your home network.

11. To start a game, select it normally.
