Xbox app with EA play download problem.

Hello guys.

Im stuck and dont know what to do anymore. as some of you may know fifa 23 trial has been released to ea play/pro players. So I wanted to download the trial. I press install on the fifa 23 trial game page on xbox app. It installs an app called EA app or desktop, all is linked op normally and it shows all my previous content that I had on origin. Now when I pressed install it jumps to the EA app and shows the pre-order now screen. When I go back to the xbox app it shows that I have a download. Its fifa 23 but it doesnt do anything it just stays at Preparing 0% 0 B.

I have tried literally everything. Updated everything. Windows update, xbox update, graphics card, etc..

I tried stopping EA related things in my task manager. repairing xbox trough apps/features. Running wsreset.exe, All kinds of commands trough cmd and powershell. Restarting apps and my PC

I even tried unlinking my accounts. It doesnt show any error at all :/

My friend can download the trial just fine trough the xbox app...

I dont know what to do anymore, does anyone else have this issue? or knows how to resolve it?

I hope it is resolved when the game is fully released so I can just download the full game.

You have to download it through EA play. You have to download the EA play app, have an ea account and link it to your xbox account to download it. You cannot download it through the gamepass app. They need to fix that or just say on the page to download through EA play

I originally got it through the EA Access on Xbox which has been renamed EA Play. My Xbox account is linked to my EA account on the EA app just fine. I believe I have it regardless of Xbox Game Pass since I do not have Game Pass. My problem is that on the Xbox console I can download the EA play apps but on the same account on the Xbox PC app I cannot download EA Play apps. I have been trying to get Star Wars Battlefront II which can be found on the Xbox App, which then tells me I have to have EA Play to download, which as previously explained I pay a subscription for and am able to use on my Xbox console. I am just confused as to why my EA Play works on the console but not the PC through the Xbox App on the same account.

Similar issue. I choose a game and select download in the Xbox app which in turn opens the EA Desktop app. My gamepass account is showing it is linked and that I have EA Play. However, the download button for the game in EA Desktop is missing. All of the EA Play games are missing the download button. Meanwhile the xbox app gets stuck saying it is preparing to download at 0%. Then it disappears from the sidebar in the Xbox app. The button to download the game on the Xbox app goes back to saying install. It is an endless circles that doesn't work. I just spent and hour with EA chat and it is still not resolved. Absolutely ridiculous!

An update, I tried to download another ea app game trough xbox and it opened ea app. After that it asked where to download and it worked..., when I try fifa 23 trial it doesnt ask that window so that might be the problem. I think its because I have 2 active subscriptions maybe?
