Xbox app windows 10

Every time i try to open the xbox app it comes up with the home page, waits a few seconds then the app closes with no error message. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the app but no change

Changing gamer tag

You can't change a gamertag into a previously owned one but you could sign in to the Windows 10 Xbox app with the old one though.

uninstall the app power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green "XBOX ONE" animation
loading screen when you power it back up.

Ive had this problem in the past on windows 10, Is your devices windows 10 fully updated? as that can cause issues.
