Xbox app Windows 10 error code 0x800705AA

Hi, if you already tried the methods listed by Lester please proceed in this case with one of the next options:

A. Run the SFC tool to restore the missing services:

In the Services list, I checked for the services you mentionned, all that were found were on automatic and running already, except for:

Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service

Those are just not showing in the list of Services. The only Xbox service showing in the list is Xbox Accessory Management Service and is currently set to Manual and not working.

I have been trying to install the Xbox App through the Microsoft Store directly. I tried your link to install the app and got the same message : Code Erreur 0X800705AA

Does this mean I have to try to reinstall the Microsoft Store again?

Sorry to hear that you're not able to install the Xbox app.

Please try double checking this:

Press Windows button and type Services

On Services App from the list of results, press right-click and run it as administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper

Xbox Live Auth Manager

Xbox Live Game Save

Xbox Live Networking Service

Gaming Services

And do this with each of the services listed above:

Right-click over the service and select Properties.

Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic (if not, change it to automatic)

If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services

Restart your PC and give it a new try.

If the issue persists, may I know if you tried installing the Xbox app from here?

Hello again,

After trying all the solutions above where none could fix the issue in trying to download the Xbox app through the microsoft store and getting the error code 0x800705AA, what finally fixed it is that I had to go with the in-place upgrade of the system. Took awhile to do but now I finally was able to run some additional Windows upgrades that were not able to install properly (without my knowing) since September 13th (looking online i believe there was a Windows update that day that didn't sit well on my end for some reason) and then finally, being able to install the Xbox app and now in the process of installing a game to run a final test.

So far, it's a sucess.
