Xbox app win11 with free pass, downloading error 0x8

Xbox app on windows 11, Lenovo ideapad gaming laptop. A free pass for games but none is downloading. Stops about 1 third into downloading with the same error every time.

Solutions that didn’t work:

Signing out and in of xbox app

Updating windows, xbox app, and all drivers

Restarting

Resetting xbox app and store app

Deleting games services using powershell and reinstalling

Worth mentioning, 1 game actually got downloaded, installed, and played but none did after that.

Games from EA and Ubisoft download, install, and play fine.

Update: Managed to download 2 games. Seems like the problem is in my internet connection (maybe router ports?) as the download started when switched to a data hotspot. Still cannot play any games because I'm stuck on a loading or syncing data screen, and cannot play using my data allowance.

1 - Type cmd (Command Prompt) in the search bar of the Start menu and then click Run as administrator.

2 - Enter chkdsk /f/x/r/v

The system will ask you if you want to run CHKDSK after restarting the system, press Y on your keyboard and then type "Exit" and restart the computer, it will scan in DOS mode.
