    XBOX App will not work and don't show Games


    Hallo,

    I have on a Windows 11 Computer a problem with the XBOX App. The App will show no game and only "Unbale to display right now".

    I Have Reset and Reinstall GameService / Microsoft Store / XBOX. Also delete some Regestry Keys but nothing will work and the App will not work.

    I Have found No Logfiles why the App will not work.

    Has anybody some information's or similar problems?

    Hallo Kathy,

    My Computer (Old Setup and new Setup) are Member of my Personal Microsoft Active Directory, this is also Connected to a Microsoft Azure Business Instance. My E-Mail Addresses for the Microsoft Azure Business and my Personal Microsoft Account are the same. But this is also the same with the account and Laptop of my wife where the App is Running.

    There Is no difference in the systems

    My Tower: Windows 11 Enterprise connected to Ethernet member of a Active Directory

    Wife Laptop : Windows 11 Enterprise connected to Ethernet member of a Active Directory

    It depend on the Hardware machine so on my tower with the Account of my wife also no connect and on the Laptop from my wife with my Account all OK.

    (I have log in to Windows also with the different accounts inside the Active Directory)

    Both devices are first Registered 1. Time to my Microsoft Account

    Inside my App on Windows 11 I found no hit for the Xbox Network.

    On My Old Setup is Many Software Installed also a Visual Studio / Hypver-V Role and more Things (It is a primary Business machine)

    On the New Setup (second HDD) Only Windows 11 Enterprise (from MSDN Portal ISO Windows 11 Business Editions) -> Install all Updates -> Active Directory connect -> and nothing more.

    on the Xbox Console Companion App (this will Run) I can find only the Age of Empires II HD Edition and this is a link to the Microsoft Store and this will say Install via Xbox App and this will say Something wen't wrong.

    The Check and troubleshooting from XBF-JoannaDark I have tried bevor I have make a complete reinstallation from Windows 11 on this device so this is a CLEAN installation i think there is no Damage file on it or will you say Microsoft will deliver damage installations?

    So a little bit of me, I'm a Senior System Engineer for Windows Server systems and work daily with Windows Servers in Deep so you can think I know the insides of the system, I Can also say no GPO is a reason for this, this are the same on the working and damage system.

    Is there a way to enable a Debug Log for this App, so in the default no log is written and a message "Unable to display right now" say a person like me nothing what the problem is. I Have also tried with the Actual Network Card Drivers, other Network-Connection (Outside my Personal Company Network). The same problem I have with a second hardware (My Notebook, it is a Windows 10 System) .

    So now I hope Microsoft will Help in this case, this is in my opinion a software bug or a general problem.

    Based on the details you have shared, you have mentioned System is plane and only Join to my domain does this mean that you are connected to a home or work or school's network or just home internet?

    Is the computer you are using personal or work-PC?

    Are you part of Windows/Xbox Insider?

    Sorry about the path for checking Xbox Network (as this the path for the Windows 10 Xbox app), may we know if you will be able to see any hints of Xbox Network on the Xbox App for Windows 11?

    Did you install any antivirus, antimalware, VPN and PC Optimizer?

    Have you tried installing Xbox Console Companion and see if same issue happens with the games?

    By the way, have you tried the suggested troubleshooting of XBF-JoannaDark?

    The reason these are asked is to deepen the isolation of your issue.

    I hope you are doing well today. Welcome to the Xbox Community. Thank you for reaching out to Xbox Forums. You mention that the Xbox app is not working as it does not display the games within the APP? Are you able to send me a screenshot? I am happy to help and provide suggestions that will hopefully fix your problem. I never recommend touching the registry as you can easily break things within windows.

    Solution 1:

    Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. If some Windows functions aren't working or Windows crashes, use the System File Checker to scan Windows and restore your files. Sometimes corrupted files can cause issues.

    Solution 2: Try reinstalling the Gaming Services package on your Windows 10 device:

    1. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    2. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:
    3. Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
    Let's start with this and see if this resolves the problem.

    Hi Tavok,

    Let's try these suggestions in the order that I have posted them and see if this resolves your issue.

    Solution 1: Reset Windows 10 store & Xbox app

    1. Open Settings.

    2. Go to Apps -> Apps & features.

    3. On the right side, look for Microsoft Store/Xbox App and click it.

    4. The advanced options link will appear. Click it

    5. Next, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store/Xbox App to default setting

    Solution 2: Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode; this error could also be attributed to issues with the Microsoft store not recognizing your entitlement to the game. Would you please click on this link Play games offline on Windows 10 using Offline mode | Xbox Support. Then scroll down and click on the drop-down arrow and look at the steps for How to enable offline play on your device

    Solution 3:

    Try reinstalling the Gaming Services package on your Windows 10 device:

    1. Right-click the Start button in the lower-left corner of the main screen, and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).
    2. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:

      Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
    Solution 4: Use your phone as a mobile hotspot

    Try using your phone as a hotspot and connect the device that is having issues with the Xbox app. I want to see if the app opens up with no problem and that something from a connection of firewall standpoint is not interfering with the specific device.

Based on what I have checked unto my resources, the computers that have this kind of specification available on Work PC [Windows 11 Enterprise with Microsoft 365 account inclusive of an Azure subscription and is connected to the company domain] is best supported by an IT professionals (like yourself) and developers. For the reason, they are using the same specs of PC and with set of restriction to protect the public to access company resources so, they can provide advises to you. Here in Xbox Forums you are still always welcome to post a question but please understand that we have mostly users of personal computer in home set-up. Thus it will be your advantage to post related concern to the forums like - Microsoft supported products on Q&A | Microsoft Docs and Technet forums.
