Xbox app will not install all games

I'm having same problem, can't figure out why it's happening with a fresh install of Windows 11. But have found a work around just use the Game pass app on mobile and started installing straight away.

Hello Jeffrg24, you are using Win 10 or 11, when you say you have all the updates made, you have also made the optional system updates, they do not enter automatically, you need to select them so that they can be installed.

Updates often seen as optional, Microsoft released major fixes this week, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed.

If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates.

Also make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and also confirm that you have the Xbox App Companion installed, it works in together with the Xbox App.

Having this exact same issue on Win 10 21H2

Uninstalling gaming services allows me to select a drive on this screen, but the install fails.

Reinstalling gaming services causes this blank screen to come back.

I was able to finally figure it out I had to uninstall game services, reboot and reinstall it and reboot again, then stop/start the service in services to get it to finally download. So far so good and it seems to be back to normal. My guess is this has to be some kind of bug in Windows 11 that doesn't affect everyone either that or something with the last update for the Xbox app.

Note: To get game services to reinstall I had to run powershell in admin and use these commands:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers (Press Enter)

Then:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN (Press Enter)

try this if you still need the error fixed

search for "Regedit" or "registry editor" in the windows search and once you have found the “registry editor” app, open the registry editor app, once you’ve opened, the registry editor app, navigate to this path



Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\xinputhid



and delete, the folder called xinputhid



once you delete that folder go to, the settings app, and look for apps, installed apps, and search for Xbox, once you have found, the Xbox App, click on, the three dots, and click on advanced, when the advanced options page opens, go down and follow these steps: click on - terminate, repair, reset, and then uninstall, and then go to the Microsoft store a redownload the Xbox app and see if the normal dialog comes up where it should be back to normal, i did this and i got the app reset with the normal install dialog. I would not be telling you this info if the app wasn't fixed for me if you need any help, please feel free to post back, I hope this helps if, it does let me know! thanks Francis.
