Xbox App will not allow me to sign in.

The xbox app is not allowing me to sign in, as in the sign in button is completely unresponsive. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted, updated, allowed access, my xbox companion app works fine....but I have an S/X not a one anymore. Please help! My microsoft store and xbox account are linked as well if that changes anything.

Please try to repair the Xbox app. Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox app > Advanced options > Repair. You could also try to reset it.

If same issue, let’s perform a clean boot. Possible that there’s a 3rd party service blocking its services to start. Performing a clean boot will isolate our issue.

For me, Neither Xbox App or Xbox App (Beta) Is not allowing me to sign in, same code 0x409 and 0x80070422.

I tried all steps suggested by onyx62, still doesn't work. It worked yesterday but not today anymore.

Try clearing the system cache.

You may also need to re-download your profile. On your storage device, delete your profile only and then redownload it.

Should work fine after downloading it.
