    So on the xbox app I am able to create party chats but enable to speak or hear anyone. My microphone and speakers work fine on every other app except this one. When I make a party it says "We can't find your microphone". There is no option to choose my playback
    and recording device (for some reason it's not a feature in the app). Anyone know a fix?

    "The sample rate for your microphone isn't supported" Error Please help

    I'm using a headset microphone by Steelseries, called Siberia 350. Also I believe I have used the Xbox App with this microphone in the past and had no issues, but I'm not completely sure on that, it may have been a different microphone.

    Xbox App Microphone Problem

    Teamspeak, Curse, etc all work. I open up the Xbox app with all closed, exclusivity in properties is turned off just in case, and the thing still tells me "We can't find your microphone" when I join a party.

    Any solutions to this problem?

    On the Xbox App on windows 10, to change the Speakers/Microphone settings, you can find them by clicking the three line button at the top left and choosing settings.

    In the General tab, the 2nd sub-section should say "Party". There is a drop down for Speakers, and another for Microphone that allow you to select your devices.

    What type of headset is it ? Are you sure it's compatible with the Xbox one? Have you checked to make sure it doesn't need any additional firmware or anything downloaded directly from the manufacturers site ? My current headset needed an entire app downloaded
    onto my PC before it would work properly

    From what i heard, this is a common issue which Microsoft are aware of, and are working on the fix. For now the only options you have is to use a Xbox headset adapter or wait until the issue is fixed.

    I created a local user and an administrator account, and the issue occurred on both accounts.

    The problem still occurs on my normal Windows 10 account.

    It seems that you've already tried multiple troubleshooting steps to isolate the main issue. The issue happens to your old account and new account, so basically this is is not an issue with the account. This could be a problem with the device or microphone
    itself. For us to make sure of it, we suggest that you try using your microphone on a different PC using the same account. You can also try using a different microphone to the same PC you're using right now. This will help us identify if the problem is your
    PC or the microphone.

    Update us with the results for further assistance.

    Ok, so I signed into the Xbox App on a different PC with my Microsoft account and tried to use my microphone, but it did not work. I noticed that it gave me more sample rate options on the other PC, though, I'm not sure why. I also tried a different microphone
    on my PC, which worked and did not give me any errors. I would like to say though that the microphone that is giving me the error works in all communication apps except for the Xbox App.

    Thank you for that information. It only means that there's no problem with your account and Xbox app. Other microphone works fine on your Xbox app, so basically it could be a compatibility issue with your microphone. We would like
    to know which type of microphone are you using. Also, is this first time that you're going to use that microphone on your device to access Xbox app?

    Based on the error message that you received and the result of our troubleshooting, it only shows that the problem is the compatibility of your microphone. Since other microphone works fine on your Xbox app, we can confirm that there's no issue with the
    app itself. In this case, it would be best if you contact the manufacturer of your microphone for them to help you sort this out right away.
