Xbox app stuck on launching for PC

Discus and support Xbox app stuck on launching for PC in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I've looked everywhere for fixes for this and none of them work.     Xbox app stuck on launching for PC


    I've looked everywhere for fixes for this and none of them work. Here is the list of things I have tried, all of which either seem to do nothing or make the app stuck on updating 100% for hours. For each thing I retired, I restarted my computer fully

    1. Tried going into settings, app, app and features to repair it
    2. uninstalled and reinstalled it
    3. repeated 1

    4. Did powershell code lines of:
    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    and

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    and

    Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    5. Tried the gaming services repair tool
    6. Made sure xbox game services was enabled on the computer

    My Xbox app on PC is stuck launching.

    Hello Tomm!

    I am having the ecact same issue as above. I have tried all of the steps. I even had a microsoft agent remote to my computer and follow all of the same steps above. I was then told to refresh windows where i downloaded a file and refreshed by keeping files and data. That did not help either.

    I have to be missing something.

    Please help!

    2. Has there been any changes with the device before this issue happen?

    3. Do you have third-party anti-virus enabled in your device?

    4. What is the version of Windows you are using? To check, press Windows key + R and type winver in run dialog box and hit enter.

    We agree that the troubleshooting steps perform were essential in resolving the issue. It seems that the issue persists after performing the steps. We can the following troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue.

    1. Try disabling third-party antivirus if there is any.

    2. Make sure Windows is up to date.

    • Press the Start button on the taskbar, type settings, and then select Settings.
    • On Windows 10, select Update & Security. On Windows 11, select Windows Update.
    • On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates to see if any updates are available including optional updates for your device.
    • Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
    • Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect.
    3. Uninstall and reinstall Xbox app.

    Uninstall from settings

    • Press Windows + I to open Windows Settings
    • now go to Settings / Applications / Apps & features
    • type Xbox app in the search box
    • Click uninstall

    Reinstall Xbox app from Microsoft Store

    • open Microsoft Store
    • Under apps, search for Xbox app
    • click Get button to install
    • wait for the application to completely download and install.

    1. This issue started 2 Months ago.

    2. There had been no changes to my PC software or hardware wise around the time the problem occurred.

    3. I have a 3rd party antivirus software called Malware bytes. But it does NOT do anything manually. I have to ask it to scan my hard drives.

    4. At the start of this issue I was on windows 10. Because of how many solutions I had already tried, I upgraded to Windows 11 in hopes that it would fix the problem. It did not.



    I have tried Uninstalling my antivirus but that still didnt solve the issue

    I have tried this solution numerous times with no success. Do you have any other suggestions? Its a Microsoft product that I had to cancel my memberships with because the Xbox app wont launch. Ive been to numerous forums / support with no results. Spent numerous hours trying to resolve this issue a couple times a week in my spare time. Is there an expert I can contact who can personally resolve this issue?

    If we may ask, have you tried disabling your Malware bytes and try launching Xbox app again? Some anti-virus may act aggressively preventing some apps to launch.

    Additionally, try running the Xbox application as administrator. You can type Xbox app in the search bar then hit enter. Then right click and select run as administrator.
