Xbox app stuck on 'Choose a drive' with no options when installing

And yes forgot to mention I'm not referring to Destiny2, but HALO MCC. So probably is not the games issue but the Xbox App. So the only fix I see is refund and go to Steam to buy the game and play it. It is as simple as that. Since L4c3rd4 mentioned below:

So what are we to do. Does Microsoft want me to purchase Game pass as well, since only buying the game it self wont do?

And Kojack6441, no don't reinstall or reset Windows that wont do the trick. I was with Windows 11 before that and had a lot of different problems with it (as well as this one), and reinstalling back to Windows 10 didn't fix it. Maybe it is the games, maybe it is the Game Pass I don't know but everything else can be installed.

I've made sure my system is fully updated, I've repaired/reset/uninstalled and reinstalled as described (also listed in the other posts I linked). I've run that powershell script with no success, and used wsreset and tried winget as an alternate installer.

At this point if Microsoft expects me to reinstall my entire system I suggest that something is wrong within the company. As NikolayTomov2 mentions below he has reinstalled windows and still has the same issue. I am not going to reinstall Windows as a troubleshooting step.

I am positing that this is due to Destiny 2 leaving Game Pass, and somewhere in that process it has damaged the install process for those that bought the game outright.

So, let's try this, first, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

Then try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

Then, try to uninstall and install the Xbox app.

If it still doesn't work you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command.

In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

Then, after you do it, you're going to open the game pass app, it will ask you to download and install the game services again

If neither of those procedures works, try to restore your PC's OS via the ISO image tool, using that tool you will be able to maintain your installed games and files.

First, you will download it > Open the ISO Image tool > Open a file inside it called SETUP.exe > Select upgrade > download from the cloud > Keep games and apps.

Just bought my first PC in years, with Windows 11 and I am having the exact same problem - cannot install any GamePass Games via the Xbox App and I have made sure everything is activated, updated and tried all steps except the step that requires a fresh install of the OS because even though its a brand new PC I have already spent the last 24 hours installing and configuring all sorts of software with no issues and I cannot justify undoing all of that just because Xbox App is not playing ball.

i have the same problem with the Xbox App, I have tried everything above, that you have suggested, except the restoring Windows 10. Since I reinstalled windows 2 days ago, on my laptop as well as my PC. And I have the same problem on both. I don't know if the fact that Game Pass is not available in my country. But it is not suppose to since back when I bayed the games, back then I was able to download and play them. I have the problem since the game must be downloaded from the Xbox App not from the windows store. But have soo much problems with Windows that I don't care anymore. Can someone please let me know from where can I request refund. I will bay all the games from the Steam since they work, not like windows staff. So please let me know from where I can request refund since I don't see it anywhere and I don't want to have anything to do with Xbox and windows staff anymore.
