  1. Xbox app streaming not (any longer) supports two controllers ?

I am connecting two Xbox one wireless controllers through an Xbox Wireless Adapter to a Windows 10 PC, and always playing my Xbox one console games on Win 10 by streaming, and those all went right and smooth, until the recent updates.

Now, with the latest updates of both the Xbox one console firmware ( 10.0.15063.3054/rs2release_xbox1705.170512-1759 ) and the Xbox App ( 29.29.17002.00000 ), only one ( the first working one when streaming starts ) controller is usable in streaming.
No matter in the home page or in game, only one controller is recognized by the console.

The two controllers are the original first gen Xbox one controllers (without 3.5mm jacks), both individually properly recognized by Windows 10 ( Win 10 Pro 1703/15063.296 ) and works well, even inside the Xbox app itself, except streaming.

    Any suggestions?

    :)

    Hi

Same here, every controller is properly connected and recognized by windows 10 , but on streaming through the xbox app only one is recognized

is quite disappointing since this wasn't an issue couple months ago

I hope Microsoft consider fixing this as soon as possible

  4. Xbox app streaming not (any longer) supports two controllers ?

    Hi,

One possible reason as to why you're encountering this issue is due to the updates for the controller's firmware and the Windows 10 device not properly installed. We recommend that you follow the steps provided on this

    link
on how to update your Xbox One Controller on Windows 10. Do this on both controllers.

    After updating, kindly access this
    link
and follow the steps on how to power cycle your Xbox One console. Turn on your console, re-sync the controllers and check if you'll encounter the same issue. See

Connect a wireless Xbox One controller to your console
    for the steps.

Keep us posted with the progress. We'd be glad to further assist you.

  5. Thank you for your assistance.

I have to state more clearly that the problem described above exists only when streaming and the two controllers are connecting to PC rather than directly connecting to the console. And such configuration did work well ever since streaming was born.

Sadly, before posting here, I have already check the controller firmware things using both Xbox Accessories app on Win 10 and Xbox console Settings, which all state that the controllers are updated, with firmware version 2.3.2381.0 .

Following your suggestion, I power cycled the Xbox one console, re-synced the two controllers to the console, then again re-synced to the PC (with Xbox Wireless Adapter), started streaming. But comes no luck.

I have also tried the Xbox beta app, same result. It seems that the issue is caused by the recent versions of Xbox App for Win10, because everything was fine a week ago.

  6. Thanks for the quick response.

We recommend connecting the controllers via USB cable and check if you'll encounter the same issue.

Also, temporary issues encountered when streaming games can be resolved by installing the latest system updates for your Windows 10 device. To keep your device up-to-date, check out

How to get software and driver updates for Windows 10
    .

We'll be waiting for your response regarding the status of this issue.

  7. Thank you very much for following up.

No. It doesn't work. Even though connecting two controllers to pc via usb cables, while both function well in Windows, only one of them works in streaming from the Xbox one console. Clicking any button on the other controller just gets no response.

Actually I have tested with two PCs, one custom-build desktop pc, running Win 10 1703, and a Surface 3 tablet, running Win 10 1607. Both are always kept updated and Xbox apps on them are of the same version. All failed.

I suspect it is something with the new Xbox one firmware.

Please help confirm this issue if you have the gadgets in hand.

Thanks as well for the detailed response.

The next troubleshooting solution you may perform is to reset your Xbox One console to factory defaults. Here are the steps:

    1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select System.
    5. Select Console info & updates.
    6. Select Reset console.
    7. On the Reset your console? screen, select Reset and keep my games & apps.
This process will reset corrupted system data without affecting your games, apps and files. You may need to reinstall updates for your device after the reset.

Notify us with the progress. We're here to clear things up.

  9. Hi,

Sorry for not being around for such a while. Quite some busy days, eh.

The problem still persists, after the reset. And actually this issue is NOT ANSWERED YET.

I did follow every step of your instruction, in fact twice. But everything goes as same as it was, only one controller works when streaming.

I wonder there is no one else encounter the same problem? Hardware is good, and it must be the Xbox app or the console firmware.

Please help check it on your side, thank you.

    Hi,

I've been having the same issue since the last update (2 weeks ago). This is NOT a Windows 10 nor Xbox ONE controller's issue, because I can perfectly use 4 controllers to control both Steam games and Xbox ONE Windows 10 App. The controllers work fine with
the app, but one I start streaming, my Xbox only detects the first controller.

So, no power-cycling nor controller's firmware update is going to fix that.

I hope they acknowledge this issue and fix it in the next Xbox ONE update

  11. Hi, thank you and others for reporting the same issue.

It is obviously a common problem.

Microsoft and the Official Support Team definitely should take this more seriously.

Hi, I have the same issue, I tried to play Diablo 3 with 2 controllers connected directly in Xbox One, and two controllers Xbox 360 connected through Windows 10 and streaming Xbox One. Before, all 4 controllers worked well, but now only
3 controllers works, because of the same problem that um reported: a second controller on streaming is now not working anymore. I need a solution for this too.

Hey. Is any one from the Official Support Team going to say something about this issue? There are now at least 5 more cases reported in this forum.

    Hi,

It seems your system is corrupted and your drivers are not updated. Please provide us additional information by answering the following questions below:

    1. Have you updated your Xbox controllers?

    2. Have you updated your system to the newest build of Windows 10?

    3. Have you updated the drivers of your system?

This is a completely useless reply. I've tried it on 2 different Windows 10 systems: one with the Creators Update installed and the other one without it. It does EXACTLY THE SAME.

OUR SYSTEMS ARE NOT CORRUPTED, OUR DRIVERS ARE NOT OUTDATED, THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH OUR PC's.

We've already told you our controllers work perfectly fine within the Xbox app, allowing to control the app, go to messages, etc. with more than one controller. It's when we click the transmission button that only the first one works. If you desconnect the
first controller, the second one (that wasn't working with our Xbox ONE since then) becomes the first one and starts working.

So, please, if you don't have anything to say, escalate the issue to someone that is actually going to try it instead of giving us the same "template" bs response.

    Thanks
