Xbox App Streaming Controller Stops Responding

I'm having an issue where my USB connected Xbox One controller randomly stops working after a short period streaming in the Xbox App, every 20-30mins, and it always happens.

I had thought it may be due to streaming over wireless (as I frequently got network quality problems), so I now have the XBO plugged into router via ethernet, and the same with my WIndows 10 desktop.. this greatly reduced the network quality problems (now
that only happens when achievements pop or periods of high action).

This didnt fix the controller issue.. basically I'm playing then lose control with the controller (no message) and my PCs headset audio mic output (can't talk but can hear everything as normal)... the only way to fix is to click stop streaming and restart the
stream, which takes 10 seconds and worked as a fix everytime, 20-30mins later - it breaks again...

I've checked the controller firmware on Xbox, checked it on the Xbox Accessories app, uninstalled drivers from Device Manager and resinstalled.

Later, I'm going to try having the controller plugged into the USB port without any batteries in (I've read this can fix some issues), although I'm doubtful this will resolve the issue.

Has anyone experienced this or have any workarounds?

Xbox One app stops picking up remote

Whenever I play a game through streaming with the Xbox App, my remote stops responding and I can't do anything. Most of the time, it works for an hour, and then just stops. Help!

 

Wired Xbox One controller stops responding after while

As the title says, the wired Xbox One controller I own stops responding randomly(or with a pattern. I haven't detected any tho). It is used through the windows store Xbox accessories app. The other Microsoft support pages haven't been much help.

Thanks for the comprehensive details . This definitely sounds like it could be an issue, what kind of controller are you using (standard Xbox One controller, updated controller with 3.5mm audio jack, Elite controller, etc.)? Do you have another controller
you could try and see if you encounter the same behavior?

If you have a chance and haven't done so already, please also download the Xbox (Beta) App and use it to submit feedback after encountering this issue. We'd definitely like to take a closer look at this if you can reproduce it consistently.

Hey Hammer! Using a standard XO controller, has an audio jack, no idea if its 3.5mm.. I use this controller on PC games without any connectivity issues, it's isolated in Xbox App Steaming. I'll find another controller to test. Downloaded the Xbox Beta
app, and it does the same thing through that streaming too, I've also submitted feedback on the issue as requested.

This issue happens to me as well but sometimes after I stop and try to start the stream again it will tell me that it was unable to do so and I have to hard power my xbox for the streaming to work. ANy thoughts? I am using an elite controller but happens
on my standard xbox one controller as well. Does not matter what the game is.

 

Hi Gpackets, We don't have any suggestions at this time on how to resolve this since this sounds like a unique issue. What would be of great help is if you can report this issue via Xbox App Beta using the "report a problem" so we can request and investigation
and inform the developers this issue is occurring with more than one person.

I'm having the same issue, I'm streaming to my windows 10 on my laptop. The controller randomly stop working 20-30 mins. I have to stop the stream and reopen open it to get it to work again I've tried 3 different controllers and make sure each controller
is up to date.

 

This has been happening to me as well Is there a fix? HArd to livestream games when your controller keeps d/c ing

 

im having the same issue as well. Controller just freezes up. One time i was continously going in circles while driving even after disconnecting the usb cable from the controller. Same instance happened while flying.
