Xbox App "Startup Settings" broken

Discus and support Xbox App "Startup Settings" broken in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I have 3 different PCs, and this problem has existed since the Insider update a couple of months ago.     Xbox App "Startup Settings" broken


    I have 3 different PCs, and this problem has existed since the Insider update a couple of months ago. I reported it and stopped using it then, and now it's a problem with the public update that was pushed a couple of weeks ago. I've reported it again.

    Doesn't launch at startup

    Doesn't continue to run in the background when closed

    Doesn't minimize to the system tray

    I can't be the only one having this issue, I have have 3 different instances of this happening. I've googled for it, but I can't find anything.

    Don't worry, I understand your frustration. Here are some steps you can follow to disable these ads:

    Turn off “Automatically start the app on startup”: Go to Home, find the Xbox app, and click it. Click the Profile/Sign in menu item at the top left of the screen. Then click Settings. Click General in the left panel. Then uncheck the “Automatically start the app on startup” option in Startup Settings.

    Turn off “Run at Startup/Xbox App Services”: Click Start and search for the Xbox app (typing “xb” is usually sufficient). Right-click on the Xbox app item. From the right-click menu, select Application Settings. Disable the "Run at startup/Xbox App Services" setting.

    Question about external hard drive activity with instant on mode

    It would most likely if you have instant-on enabled with keep my console/games/apps up to date and when xbox is off turn off my storage unchecked...

    Xbox One Console > Settings app > Power & startup > Power mode and startup

    Go to the My Games and Apps tab and select settings. Once in settings go to Power and Startup, make sure the console is set to Instant On as this allows for Xbox On to start the console
