    Xbox app starts and crashes immediately


    Not sure when my app "broke" but i've tried every single possible solution, watched tons of videos on yt on how to fix this problem, none of them worked. I had an issue last month with the microsoft store, had to reinstall windows to solve the problem. Not sure if i've tried to open/use the xbox app since then. The app opens correctly, says "launching the xbox app" and then it disappears immediately. I read about this problem on Reddit and the Microsoft community, tried the suggested solutions, but i still can't get it to work (i don't want to reinstall windows AGAIN).

    My Xbox app, Xbox beta, and Smart Glass apps are crashing immediately upon launch, I see the green loading screen for a fraction of a second then crash. Very frustrating.

    I can see from the uploaded GIF that you don't have a controller connected. Does this still happen with your controller connected? Currently, cloud games are controller only. They are, after all, Xbox games. You need a controller to play them.

    Note: The controller itself does not need to be an Xbox One controller, but it does need to be an XINPUT supported device.

    Also note that Cloud games can also be run via a browser. Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome should work fine, but as I said before, you will still need a controller, it's mandatory.
