Xbox App Sign In Issues

Thank you for keeping us updated. We recommend attempting to remove the Microsoft account with the steps we will provide. Let us know if this helps!

1. Select the Start button
2. Select Settings
3. Select Accounts
4. Find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select
   Remove
5. Go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the Microsoft account you just removed

Thanks for the reply!

In order to sign out of the Xbox App, you will have to click on the settings icon and sign out of the account signed in.

I would suggest you to ask your friend to sign in to the Microsoft store first with his account, then sign in to the Xbox app. If this doesn't work, please reset both apps following the instructions below and ask your friend to create a new Windows (computer) account for him using his Microsoft account. And sign in to the Microsoft store then to the Xbox app using his computer account and his Microsoft account.

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

- Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox App > Advanced Options > Repair, then Reset.

Now, just a friendly reminder that sharing account informations to game share is not allowed and can put both of you at risk of being banned.

This doesn't help because the app will not let me choose to sign into a different Microsoft account. I also cannot access the Choose an account screen shown in that page because when I choose to sign in, I am automatically signed into the account that
is not my main account and I am given no other options.
