Xbox app Sign In button does nothing.

"Hello all,

Just spent a good chunk of time with a fantastic Microsoft tech support agent to fix a very bad issue with the new beta app. THE LOGIN BUTTON DOES NOTHING! This was my problem and here is the fix that worked for me and the tech agent.

1. Open the windows start button and search "Powershell"

2. Right click "Powershell ISE X86" and run as admin

3. COPY AND PASTE these codes into powershell:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Get-AppXPackage | % {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -verbose}

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"} " quoting this 2019 discussion because i think its the only saving grace for me. I tried this and everything else (except wiping the pc, a thing that i can't do), doing this was useless as the errors always mess it all up, after expending 2-3 hours i could resolve 2 out of 3 of the first errors (at all theres more then 20 errors), please help me,

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps below one by another:

1. Close the app from the recent applications menu.

2. Restart your phone.

3. Clear the app cache. Go to Settings > Apps, select the app, then select Storage > Clear cache.

4. Clear the app storage, then try again. Go to Settings> Apps, select the app, then select Storage > Clear storage.

5. Uninstall and reinstall. Press on the app icon until you get the option to Uninstall. Then reinstall the app from the Play Store.

Hi Lord Mango Esq,It clearly not works correctly. Have you tried to desinstall/reinstall the app ? Any update on your PC ? (Xbox app,
Gaming services, Microsoft store...).

i have this issue and it just randomly started, one day it signed me out on it own and now the sign in button does nothing i can not purchase anything either, i have tried everything you listed above and still nothing. i can still play some games i had shortcuts for games i had pined to my taskbar. it allows me to sign into my account only when accessing the game but not the app itself.
