    Xbox app resetting every time it launches


    Alright,
    I subscribed to XGP a few weeks ago so I now use the W10 Xbox app very
    frequently, and it's been an annoying and slow experience. Like others
    who posted here, I have the problem with the "Discover your next
    favorite game" popup appearing every time the app is launched, but
    further investigations make me believe that the app is actually fully
    resetting at every launch: settings modifications are not saved and the
    game library is "rebuilt" every time the app starts.

    Re-logging
    in, resetting the app or even reinstalling it did not solve the
    problem, nor did a recent app update. Is there any known solution for this?

    Xbox Fitness kicked me to Home Screen

    Similar issues with me. Tried Xbox Fitness for the first time today, and it would always crash at the game's home screen. Then afterwards, none of my other games would launch. One time it started a reset cycle on the Kinect where it would shut off and
    turn back on every several seconds. A hard reset would fix it every time, but Xbox Fitness reliably crashed itself and every other game on my console every time. Have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but it doesn't fix the issues. Will NOT be launching
    this app again unless these issues are fixed.

    games wont launch

    I was having the same problem today when trying to launch Gears 5.

    Upon launching it would send me to the Gaming Services App on the Windows Store. I tried repairing/resetting the gears app in "Apps & Features" (Which deleted it from my apps completely) (I also eventually tried this with the Xbox app as well.. which did nothing). I also tried updating all available windows updates which did not work either.

    Now the Xbox App says that I need to redownload gears 5 but every time I try it gives me this error code: 0x80070424

    I tried downloading/ launching other games and there was no issue.

    Why cant I launch a game, and when it does launch it stays on the on a screen for a long time and then says the game took to long to launch.
    I have this issue too, and have for two days now.

    I have reset the console multiple times, I am connected to the network and can see friends but every game or app I try to launch “takes too long to start” and doesnt do anything.

    My Xbox One X is useless now.

    NEED HELP MICROSOFT WHAT IS GOING ON.

    I just spoke to a rep on the phone about this and was told that the app resets if it is not launched within 24 hours of the last time it was launched and not when it was closed or the xbox was turned off. I am going to try out launching the app twice a day
    for a week to see if this works or not and post again if it does or does not just for a possible answer to this problem.
