Xbox App recording has a 40 second limit?

Discus and support Xbox App recording has a 40 second limit? in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I too have the same problem. Usually I record PC games, it worked fine in the past and some games today, but most games it only records for 40 seconds....     I too have the same problem. Usually I record PC games, it worked fine in the past and some games today, but most games it only records for 40 seconds. Sometimes a minute but not how long I actually recorded.

    Any Update on this problem please? Because it works for some but not for others so maybe it's the type of computer or set up to the modem?

    Hi Kraz, Thanks for reaching out. We have not received an update. Couple things to note, the Xbox App isn't directly responsible for Game DVR, so this issue was probably forwarded to the proper to team to investigate. If your experiencing this issue we
    recommend the following troubleshooting guide:
    support.xbox.com/.../recording-problems-with-gamedvr    . If the issue continues, post on Gaming on Windows forums for proper support located here: forums.xbox.com/.../5413.aspx

    I ended up returning the laptop. There wasn't much else reason to keep it since this app is still broken. I'll wait another year or so for it to mature then I might consider trying it again.

    Just a quick update. I re-imaged the laptop and installed an SSD drive in it and got the OS updated. I noticed the Xbox app is now a new version - 11.12.9011.00000. However the 40 second problem persists. Another issue that just got added is most of
    the time, the keyboard shortcuts don't work, default or custom.

    Hi Evan, Can you tell us what version of the app your using? Are you also experiencing this issue with Xbox App (Beta)? In the mean time I will report this to the developers.
