    Xbox App (PC) Not Installing to External Drive


    My Xbox App on PC is not giving me the option to install games on my external drive.

    Under Profile > Settings > Game Install Options it can see the drive under "Change where this app installs games by default" and I have set it to that drive accordingly. However, when I Install a game and "Choose a drive" pops up, it does not show my external drive.

    I have updated the Xbox app, reinstalled the xbox app, and updated windows with no success. Any help would be appreciated!

    NOTE: My drive is set to exFAT file system and I have no intention of changing this. It had worked in March using this same file system.

    Have you tried different games on the Xbox app? Sometimes the situation it's the game, every game has different requirements, so probably you should try different games and see if the problem persist

    To give an example of this, ARK will be able to be installed on a exFat disk but Total War: Warhammer 3 won't show you this option

    This would be because of the difference in the files each format its able to handle

    What version of Windows 10: Windows 10 Home, 21H2

    I clicked the Windows 10 link you send and updated.

    All Xbox Apps are up to date in the store.

    Still no success.
