Xbox App PC Games require login but no option, how do I login?

    Hey guys and dolls,

I'm using the Xbox App on PC to play games I have with game pass. The problem is even though I'm logged in through the app the games claim I still need to login but give me no option to do so.
For example I'm trying to play Subnautica Below Zero. Before I can even get to the main menu a pop up tells me I need to login. If a press the big log in button nothing happens. A similar thing happens in Weird West. Before I can get to the main menu it requires me to select an account to agree with the ToS. But when I try (pressing the delete key in this case) nothing happens.
Even though I'm launching these games through the app, which I am logged in, the games still require me to login to my xbox account while giving me no option to do so. Is there an overlay like with Steam? How do I solve this?

Edit: When ever do try to use one of the in game login options a grey window briefly pops up and disappears. I assume this is some sort of xbox overlay but it doesn't do anything.

    :)

Xbox App PC Games require login but no option, how do I login?

Hi Spartan! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

Please log out the Xbox app and the Microsoft store app and complete given below directions to reset the app in Windows 10.

Step 1: Open the Settings app. This can be done by clicking its icon in the Start menu or simultaneously pressing Windows logo + I.

Step 2: Click the Apps category icon and then click Apps & features to see all installed apps as well as classic desktop programs.

Step 3: Click on the app that you want to reset to see the Advanced options link. Click on the same (advanced options link).

Step 4: Finally, click the small Reset button. When you click the Reset button, you will find a small dialog box with “This will permanently delete the app’s data on this device, including your preferences and sign-in details.” Click the Reset button in the opened dialog box to reset the app.

Step 5: Once the Reset is done, you will see a check sign next to the Reset button. And restart the Pc

cannot sign into the microsoft login page, or minecraft.net

I have not tried resetting my password as there is nothing wrong with my login details. It simply wont accept even my email when i try to login. I CAN access microsoft store, microsoft windows account, xbox app, minecraft launcher with microsoft login. These work fine.

Minecraft.net and microsoft login website do not even accept even my email, as it refreshes the page when i click next.

I can sign into microsoft store app on windows PC. However, it does not require a password it requires windows PIN number. Microsoft store uses microsoft account settings to login, and PIN to verify user.

    Forza Horizon 3 multiple saves

    It works!

I was trying to login with another PC user.

Now instead of changing the PC user i just logoff in xbox app and login with my dad account.

The game was there and it works!

    Thanks Antic Owl!

Unable to accept new terms for my daughters account?

    I'm having same issue.

My daughter's account requires new T&C's to be accepted. She logins and accepts, it then asks for the parent account to login. I do so and it just takes me back to her account, same page to accept the T&C's.

At same time I can login into my Xbox live account on different PC and there is nothing for me to accept or deal with. My (adult) account is working fine.

I get error code 0x3fb on the green Xbox dialog box.

I'm Samy an independent advisor. Welcome to the Xbox community. How are you?

If you have purchased the Game Pass for PC or Game Pass Ultimate, log out of the EA desktop app, and on the login screen choose the option to log in with your Xbox account and try installing the game again.
